Solidarity Movement of India is a voluntary organization, has reached its 25th years of service with active and eventful programs. We have been working for the needy and backward sections of our society and a rapid change have made in our programs since its inception. Today the Solidarity functions as the implementing agency of several development and welfare programs framed by Central and state governments and other national and international development agencies. The basic objective and inspiration of the society is to find development avenues of voluntary service to the citizens of our country and to promote the social sufficiency and strengthening of the economy of our rural and backward villages.
Solidarity Movement of India is a national level confederation of NGOs consisting of representatives from various units and branches at national level in its general body. The executive, which is the controlling organ of the society, has seven members at the central level elected from the general body.
